IRAQ. Iraq Duty Free has reported a +16% climb in sales in 2014, despite conflict that forced the operation’s closure at Baghdad Airport for several months. Iraq Duty Free is upbeat about prospects for 2015 and is targeting a sales uplift of +25% to +30% due to "increased passenger figures, a growing middle class and new routes agreed by Iraqi Airways".

The increase came through a combination of organic growth and the consolidation of Nuance since September. CEO Julián Díaz said: “2014 has been a year of many challenges and great achievements.
