Duty free concession income buoys Spanish airports group Aena in H1

SPAIN. A robust commercial performance, including a surge in income from duty free contracts, buoyed half-year results (to 30 June) at Spanish airport company Aena. Commercial revenue across the network climbed by +16.9% year-on-year to €330.8 million, aided by new contracts, increased space, a fresh range of brands from retail to dining, plus rising traffic levels at key airports and Madrid in particular.
