Zürich Airport commercial turnover dips as strong Swiss Franc effect continues

SWITZERLAND. Zürich Airport commercial turnover (net sales to consumers in retail and food & beverage) hit CHF44.5 million (US$47.3 million) in April, down by -1.5% year-on-year. Turnover per departing passenger also fell heavily in the month compared to April 2014. Sales to overseas travellers in the past year have been hit by the sharp rise in the value of the Swiss Franc against other major currencies.
